Visa is testing a groundbreaking payment solution using stablecoins to provide faster earnings access for freelancers, creators, and gig workers. The pilot, running under Visa Direct, allows businesses to fund payouts in fiat while recipients receive USD-pegged stablecoins like USDC directly into their crypto wallets. Unlike traditional bank transfers that can take days, Visa's system promises near-instant settlement.

The program requires recipients to complete standard KYC/AML verification, and participating platforms must integrate fiat-to-stablecoin conversion infrastructure. With Visa Direct's global reach across 195 countries, this initiative could revolutionize delayed payment models for workers who need immediate access to funds.
